(Scripture-shaped, sparse, reverent — meant to be prayed slowly)
O Lord, my life is before You;
I stand in Your presence.Give strength to my body and light to my mind,
that I may walk uprightly
in the days You grant me.Create in me a heart that loves,
slow to anger, rich in mercy,
not turned inward upon itself.Establish my faith in You,
not in signs or success,
but in steadfast trust
when the path is hidden.Prosper the work of my hands, O Lord,
and let my labor be honest and useful;
keep me from gain that hardens the heart
or blinds the soul.Guide my household in Your ways,
and let my life bear witness
to Jesus Christ,
not in noise, but in truth.Remember this nation, O God;
grant wisdom to those who govern,
that justice may stand,
and peace not be cast aside.Into Your hands I commit my will,
my desires, and my future.
Lead me in Your way,
and I shall trust You.Amen.
This version works especially well when prayed line by line, with a breath between each line—very much like the Psalms themselves.
Heavenly
Father,
I
come before You with a heart full of gratitude, acknowledging every blessing,
seen and unseen, that You have granted me. Thank You for the gift of this life.
Lord,
I ask for the strength and vitality of health so that I may serve You fully.
Cultivate in me a loving heart that seeks the good of others, and grant me a
spirit of honor and respect for my elders, learning from the wisdom of those
who came before me.
Deepen
the roots of my faith, Lord. Let it be the steady foundation of my soul. I
commit my business and work into Your hands; grant me success and integrity so
that I may be a blessing to my community. Use me as a light, Father, to gently
lead my family and those around me to the grace of Jesus, that they may know
Your peace.
Finally,
I lift up my country. I pray for its welfare and for reasonable, just, and wise
governors to lead us with discernment. May Your will be done in my life and in
this land, tonight and every day.
Amen.
